A wonderful night for a wonderful cause!

Last night was beautiful at Yoshi's in SF...Tim Flannery, 3rd base coach for the SF Giants and rockstar in the offseason, invited me to sing John Prine's Angel from Montgomery to a sold-out concert honoring and raising funds for Bryan Stow, the Giants fan who was brutally beaten after the Dodgers/Giants game on opening day. Flan's band sounded fabulous and it was an honor to be a part of such an incredible night. Between ticket proceeds and Flan's album sales, they raised $18,000 for the Stow family. Now that's something to be proud of. On a side note - for those who know me and my love for a certain ball club, Pat Burrell was in attendance, so I was feeling some hometown pride

For months I had been hearing the name Kate Gaffney around the San Francisco jam scene. I had missed her set at High Sierra this year and the many shows at The Connecticut Yankee but knew I had to seek out a performance quickly before Kate started attracting bigger crowds.
