Hello hello...

It's nice to be back in California...though I do miss the road and all of the wonderful people I met. I've only been home for a week and a half and I've already managed to skidaddle off to play some out of town shows (ode to Shasta Lake) and soak in the gorgeous Northern California Coast. There's really nothing quite like it.

This month is shaping up to be wildly musical and exciting...one of my favorite things to do on the road was to play with musicians I'd never played with before. Some fine musicians sat in with me over the last 3 months and it was a hoot! So in the coming weeks, I'll tap into that "fluid" state of mind...

We'll be playing a showcase for the SAMMIES tomorrow night at Old Ironsides - we will play first - the show starts at 9pm so it can be an early night for those of you who can't stay out late. Plus it will be a unique band experience with regulars, Michael Palmer (from Mumbo Gumbo and The Nibblers) on bass and Melissa Olsen on keys, plus special appearances from James Neil (from the Cowboy Killers and The Golden Cadillacs) on drums, and Jon Wood (from The Nibblers and Mumbo Gumbo) on lead guitar. Do-do do do, do-do do do do, do-do do do do....The Final Countdown!

I'm definitely not sitting in a park in Paris, France...but, California, I am actually coming home! I can't believe it myself...but not before I embark upon the final leg of "The Coachman Spring Tour 2009" which took me from Coast to Coast and back again. The Westbound Leg has been a bit more adventurous than the Eastbound Leg, thanks to following GPS in rural West Virginia and getting into an altercation with Poison Ivy in the Great Smoky Mountains! Going back to Taos, NM tomorrow before heading north to make my Colorado debut (I've been looking forward to this for a long time)...Please pass show information on to people you might know in CO...thank you kindly!

When I return to CA, between rocking with the full band and chilling at my Torch Club happy hour residency (plus everything in between), I'll be planning return tours to all of the wonderful towns and venues I visited on this 3-month, solo acoustic tour! If there were places I missed this time around, please let me know and I'll try to hit 'em next time.

Getting Geared Up!!

It has been a wonderful time back home in the Philadelphia area. Thank you to everyone for showing the Brotherly Love...not only did I play a bunch of great shows, I got to witness some wonderful moments with family and friends (babies, weddings). Plus I got to watch the Phillies for a few weeks straight. That couldn't make me happier...

I begin my westbound tour Friday in Morgantown, WV...heading to Tulsa, OK, back to New Mexico, up through Colorado and back home to Northern California. Lots of shows when I get back home too - first one on May 30th...will I really have been gone for 3 months?
