TireWired Blog : So Much to Say and Play -- Tom Gillam Benefit and more...
on May 05, 2006 (603 reads)

Our good friend and amazing musician, Tom Gillam, suffered a heart attack in March - he is recovering well and the entire Philadelphia music community is stepping up with a benefit concert on May 13 at Whiskey Dix in Philly. Joe Carroll has worked so hard to plan this event and we are excited to help out our friend as he gets back on his feet. The lineup is great, check it out on www.tomgillam.com. Also, I'll be playing Camp Jam in the Pines earlier that day. And the night before, opening for Robert Hazard at Godfrey Daniels in Bethlehem. And so much more in May...

TireWired Blog : Featured Show: Milkboy Coffee - May 4th - Ardmore
on Apr 25, 2006 (677 reads)

The band headlines Main Line's newest all ages venue - Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore, PA. KGB will be performing a long set of music on Thursday May 4th - you're sure to get your fill. Mike Pinto opens the show which starts at 8:30pm. Come on out and check out the new space and some new songs. Bring the family, it's an all ages coffeehouse. It's been almost a year since I played a show on the Main Line - since The Point sadly closed its doors - I'm eager to return to the area. See the calendar section for more information.

TireWired Blog : Kate to Sing National Anthem at Phillies Game!!
on Apr 15, 2006 (778 reads)

Thanks to the wonderful folks at the Phillies - I am honored and excited to sing the national anthem on May 19 before the Phillies/Red Sox game. This is an amazing opportunity and I wanted to share it with you all. The Phillies have been a huge influence in my life - yes, I was in love with Darren Daulton for years and perhaps that is what stemmed my longing for love and writing songs about it. But for real, if you're at the game, I hope you enjoy. And root root root for the hometeam!! Lots of other stuff happening in May - Milkboy Coffee, Triumph Brewery, Godfrey Daniels, Camp Jam in the Pines, Tom Gillam's Benefit Show, and The Dancing Wu Li Festival! I hope you can come out and support in the wonderful month of May.

TireWired Blog : Today Marks a New Beginning - and a New Website
on Apr 03, 2006 (740 reads)

It's raining here in Philadelphia but there is a light up ahead! Last night, I rocked out with my good friends at the Dawson Street Pub - where the music flows and goes and goes. On Thursday, Scott Silipigni will be joining me at The Tin Angel for a great show. Come out and see us play at 8:30pm. It's in Olde City, Philadelphia. The calendar page has all the details.

Today, we launch the new website. Thanks to the folks at Ampersand Design for their great work! I encourage you all to check it out - there are a lot of exciting sections to see - tons of photos, most taken by the lovely and talented Lisa Schaffer. There is a new forum that I hope you will start to take advantage of -- there you can discuss anything and everything you want about Kate Gaffney and the music. We've posted reviews, articles, links, music, you name it, it's here. There are still a few tweaks to be made, and feel free to send feedback if you see anything missing or out of whack. This site is for you! Enjoy it. And please, send me your thoughts, musings - the forum is a place for KG fans to congregate and form a little community. It'll be fabulous. Thanks for all the support! Love, Kate
